#RareCancerDay

Since I’ve been back on GH for a while and have recovered from that acute respiratory illness as well, I am feeling more like myself again! ❤️ Now that I have a little more energy than I have had lately, I am going to get back to doing more advocacy work for rare conditions.

October 1st has been declared Rare Cancer day by the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD). I would like to plan a stream that day where I can help raise awareness and educate myself as well as others on the existence of rare cancers and hopefully shed some light on what it is like to live with them.

If possible, I would love to invite some patients who have a rare form of cancer to join me in a call during my stream so we can talk about the challenges and experiences you have faced regarding your cancer. If you are interested in being interviewed during my stream that day, please send me a message or comment below and we can arrange that! If you know anyone who has a rare form of cancer and might be interested in joining me, please feel free to share this with them.

If I can’t find anyone to interview for the stream, that’s okay! I will be sharing stories and reading articles available on the NORD website to hopefully share some insight.

During the stream, I will be encouraging everyone to donate to NORD, and ANY monetary donations I receive during that stream will be donated to NORD as well.

Mark your calendar! The stream will be on Tuesday October 1st starting at 2pm (or as soon as NORD’s webinar on rare cancers is over) and continuing for as long as I can handle it. It will be on my Twitch channel.

I will upload the stream archive to YouTube when it is over so if you can’t catch it live, you can still learn about these rare forms of cancer.
